Magic, The gathering

magic thegathering, was the first love of my life, geeky as it seems but this card saved me from most of the vices that normal teenagers would go through, it also provided me an "outlet" of my teenage angst. its been 10 years but i still love hte game so goes the saying "first love never dies".
magic is a complicated game that if you take time to understand, youll fall in love with the complexities of the storyline, the odd-off the wall creatures, the mana source, the spell casting, the rules of legends, planeswalkers, flying, first strike (im talking gibrish right now am i?) but yes this is what make magic:the gathering unique. i've read somwhere that there are two types of magic players those who are "competitive", and the "fantasy player's", the former these are the type of players that play it for the sake of winning, money, superiority but usually it last 4-5 years then they lose interest in the game, hte second types are a bit tricky its boreders insanity and foolishness like me. fantasy players are in it for the long run, they picture themselves part of the world of magic a planeswalker, its an alternate reality of some sort that fantasy players create for themselves that they alone know ho to go to. magic:the gathering has changed my life in a major way, it saved me when i was young, from the vices that could have seriously destroyed my life, i know a few people who dropped their cards and made the wrong choices, im saying this because im entering a phase where maybe the fantasy player becomes a competitive player, a new block is on the way and im exited and afraid that i may fall into the category like the other planeswalker a.k.a. (people that i know) but i hope that my love for this game will never end. in a way im still the child that fell in love with the game, the one that refused to grew up like the children of neverland. but one thing is for sure walllets will be emptied when the new cards are introduced :)
